Happy New Year to you all!
I am reflecting on this past year, and all that has happened. I am feeling overwhelmingly grateful for all of the fabulous things that have happened so far, and for my closest to be happy and healthy.
So much has happened this year...
I've totally refurbished a room in my home in to a salon room, I opened my online store selling KYK Australia Hair Care products and tools (all cruelty free & vegan friendly!). I've been involved in so many shoots (most of which have gone to features and publications), I've met even more amazingly talented people in the industry, I've been so honoured to be a part of so many bride's special days (thank you for choosing me to be your stylist!), and I've won even more awards, one being an international award, Best Hairstylist 2021, wow!
And!...The big one, the award everyone in this industry strives for, I am a Regional Finalist for The Wedding Industry Awards 2022 (TWIA), eek! Someone please pinch me! I really can't wait for the awards event, but just to actually manage to achieve Regional Finalist is a huge achievement in itself, so if I get no further, I am so honoured to have got this far.
Thank you to every single one of you who have helped me to achieve my dream, if you'd told me only two years ago where I would be now, I don't think I would have believed you!
Thanks go to all of my lovely brides and hair extension clients for putting your trust in me, it truly does mean the world to me.
Thanks to my hugely supportive family and friends network who have helped to make all of this possible.
Thank you to everyone who has booked me, recommended me, worked alongside me, liked and shared my posts and followed me on this amazing journey!
I continue to expand my business, and am always looking at bettering myself and my business & brand. I am constantly upping my game, keeping up with ever changing trends. This is so important in my line of work.
So, here's cheers to you all, each and every one of you.
Thank you for an amazing 2021 - Covid, you did not ruin me, you made me fight harder to be the best I could be. I'd say that's Me 1-0 Covid! :)
To finish, I would like to say, Happy New Year - bring on 2022! May it be fabulous for each and every one of you. I wish you health and happiness, peace and prosperity.
I really can't wait to meet you, or if you're an existing client, see you again soon!
2022, let's do this!
